Cozy and Spikey

Right up until the clock strikes midnight to commence Black Friday (actually nowadays, Black Friday is Black Thursday for some reason, but I digress), I could be easily be mistaken for the Grinch or Ebenezer Scrooge. I refuse to listen to Christmas music or even acknowledge it until my favorite holiday comes to an end. I love Thanksgiving too much to allow myself to go from Halloween straight to Christmas. So now that Thanksgiving is officially over, I can finally switch gears to Christmas mode! Cue all the Christmas music 24/7.

For this holiday look, I’ve decided to hold the skirt/dress and whip out my pants. This outfit is definitely very forgiving if you are the kind of person who gorges on the holidays (like me), so feel free to eat up! I purposely chose the very simple sweater and pants, because I wanted my accessories to be the statement pieces. Quite truthfully, I am always looking for an excuse to wear my rockstuds. I love how they can sass up any plain ol’ outfit. Also, I recently found these pear-shaped earrings at a local boutique here in MN. The moment I laid my eyes on them, my heart sang “Treat yourself.” Fortunately, for my wallet, they were only $12, so I couldn’t not to buy them. Right ladies?
